Sheane Cosmetics is a the commercial branch of SHEANE HUB - a community-based social enterprise with the mission of reducing women and youth poverty in rural landscapes through improved monetization of indigenous resources and utilizing market platforms for advocacy and indigenous women community mobilization for health, climate and environmental change/impact.

Our Story

Sheane Cosmetics began as a spark of curiosity and purpose when our founder, Mardia, realized that many Africans were unfamiliar with the power of shea butter, despite it being native to her home in northern Ghana. What started with hand-whipped butter using kitchen forks and just $30 borrowed from a friend has grown into a youth-led brand rooted in sustainability, indigenous knowledge, and community empowerment. Since 2021,

Sheane has reached over 1300 women and youth across Ghana and Rwanda through clean beauty, climate education, and social impact programs. At Sheane, we’re bringing Africa back to its roots—one natural product at a time.
